Eisa is a traditional music style found on the Okinawa Islands.
This video was shot in Mikawa Machi, a town in the north of Kumamoto Prefecture. The group was performing at a big festival there.

For the technically minded videographer - I shot this video using only 1 camera!
The editing was done cleverly to give the effect of multiple cameras.

A few years ago I tried to put together a short collection of different drum styles to be seen (heard?) in Japan.
Drums are, of course, found in all civilisations and cultures. However the Japanese drum still holds a central position in many of the ceremonies and traditions around Japan.
