Why I recommend Lynda.com
Quite a few years ago I came in contact with Lynda.com.
I was searching the web for some Tutorials on a Non-linear Editor I was using at the time.
I found what I was looking for, but not on Lynda.com at that time.
However I was impressed by Lynda.com's selection of Tutorials - even back in those days.
Back then, Tutorials were offered on CDs or DVDs.
I found the prices a little too high, considering that I would probably use the media to view the Tutorials a few times, then leave them to gather dust on a shelf.
In 2008, I bought the Adobe CS4 Creative Suite box and with it came some "gifts".
One of them was to view all the Lynda.com Tutorials online for a month.
I accepted this offer and was amazed at what I found I had access to.
The range of Tutorials was mind boggling.
Not only did I find many that I had direct use for, but I also found even more that awakened ideas of learning a lot of applications that I had wanted to use. but avoided, as I felt the Learning - curve, would be too steep.

After the Trial period was over, I took out a subscription to Lynda.com.
The main reasons for doing this were:
1. The whole selection of Tutorials are available on the net - Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
2. The monthly fee was, in my eyes, very reasonable.
3. The selection of Titles covered most of the applications that I use daily - but have not yet come anywhere close to mastering yet.
Some of the areas covered by Lynda.com are:
After Effects, Dreamweaver, Avid Media Composer 5, Avid Xpress Pro, 3ds Max, Pro-Tools, Blender, Cinema 4D, AutoCAD, Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro, Flash, Illustrator, Poser, Painter, InDesign, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, Photoshop, Vegas and many many more.
